- Ultrasound is useful to image most soft tissue structures in the body. However some structures containing air like the lung and bowel will not be seen well seen on ultrasound. Ultrasound waves does not penetrate through bone, so spine issues are difficult to see with ultrasound.

Dr M Elsakhawy is a consultant radiologist working at BHR University Hospitals in East London, UK. I have a special interest in ultrasound scans including 3D and 4D baby scans, pelvic imaging, including Gynaecological scans, abdominal scans, thyroid scans as well as lumps and bumps.

Dr Elsayad has a Specialist Ultrasound Masters degree, including the abdomen, Pelvis, MSK, Vascular, Gynae, small parts & lumps and bumps.
